Providing internet connectivity to cars will be a $500 billion market by 2025, if analysts at Gartner are correct. The IT research firm's connected-car forecast dwarfs the $5.4 billion by 2025 that Euro-consult predicts for passenger in-flight connectivity. If the satellite industry is excited about aeronautical connectivity, and it is, the automotive opportunity must inspire visions of El Dorado.
