Commercial companies are increasingly stepping into the space situational awareness domain to fill the gaps left by-military surveillance networks and offering data-sharing transparency called for by satellite operators. Delegates at the Military Space Situational Awareness conference held in London in late April repeatedly emphasized the need for more data about objects in the orbit but also for a more open access to such data by all interested parties.
