Last month, a recording leaked of a conversation Tom Mueller, a SpaceX vice president, had with an astronomy club at New York University. People drew immediate comparisons to a similar recording last year involving now-former United Launch Alliance executive Brett Tobey. However, Mueller's comments were far less controversial: just criticism of competitors in the launch business, not allegations of government contracting improprieties that cost Tobey his job.
