Comtech AeroAstro of Ashburn, Va., has delivered the spacecraft bus for the U.S. Air Force's Space Test Program Standard Interface Vehicle (STP-SIV) to prime contractor Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp., a Jan. 7 Comtech AeroAstro press release said. The STP-SIV program intends to demonstrate an affordable and rapidly available small satellite capability for low Earth orbit that is compatible with a variety of launch vehicles.
