Globalstar's principal financial backer reiterated his commitment to the mobile satellite communications company but conceded it faces "a rough patch" of more than two years during which it will sustain declines in subscribers and revenue along with high capital expenses. In a March 12 conference call with investors, Globalstar Chief Executive Jay Monroe said he will continue to back the company through his Thermo Funding Co. investments despite the rough ride ahead.
