NASA will rely on commercial provider Zero Gravity Corp. (Zero-G) for micro-gravity experiments, while continuing to conduct space-shuttle training on the U.S. space agency's own Johnson Space Center-based C-9 aircraft NASA Administrator Mike Griffin said Dec. 5. In early 2008, NASA agreed to buy a week's worth of flights from Zero-G for $300,000 to conduct microgravity experiments and help prepare astronauts for flights on the space shuttle and international space station under an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract worth up to $25.4 million over five years if all options are exercised.
