Managers of Europe's Galileo satellite-navigation project are publicly sticking to their September deadline for choosing a winning consortium to run the project despite mounting indications that the deadline will not hold. Rainer Grohe, executive director of the Galileo Joint Undertaking, said the three con-sortia bidding to take over Galileo and run it as a profit-making business must submit final bids and detailed business plans by Sept. 1.
