Sea Launch Co. is creating two independent review boards to determine what went wrong in its June 28 launch of a U.S. telecommunications satellite, which was placed in a too-low orbit, Sea Launch President Jim Maser said. In a July 1 interview, Maser said the boards of inquiry are expected to deliver their conclusions soon enough to permit Sea Launch to complete two more launches this year. The-company had been scheduled to launch the Intelsat IA-8 satellite in August. Maser said that launch now likely will be delayed pending the results of the boards of inquiry.
