Satellite operator Intelsat announced executive changes March 11 including the appointment of Stephen Spengler as president and chief commercial officer and Michelle Bryan as executive vice president, general counsel and chief administrative officer, effective March 18. Intelsat's board also elected David McGlade, deputy chairman and chief executive, to chairman and chief executive, effective April 1. McGlade has been chief executive of the Washington and Luxembourg-based satellite operator, the world's largest, for the past eight years. He replaces Raymond Svider of BC Partners, the private equity firm that owns a majority stake in Intelsat, as chairman.
