Lockheed Martin Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Robert Stevens has announced plans to retire at the end of the year, the Bethesda, Md.-based company announced April 26. Stevens will be succeeded as chief executive Jan. 1, 2013, by Christopher E. Kubasik, 51, who currently serves as Lockheed Martin's president and chief operating officer. Kubasik will be succeeded in that capacity by Marilyn Hew-son, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems business.
