Satellite ground system manufacturer GMV of Spain said Jan. 14 that it had been awarded a contract from Waltham, Mass.-based Raytheon to develop a prototype algorithm intended to help improve the accuracy of navigation devices built for use with India's regional GPS-augmentation system.rnRaytheon is under contract to deliver the ground infrastructure for India's GPS-Aided Geosynchronous-Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) system and recently signed an agreement with the Indian Space Research Organisation to incorporate modifications meant to in-rncrease the availability of precision approach guidance for civil aircraft in the equatorial region.
