Sounding rockets are among the oft-forgotten aspects of rocket research, but without them we almost certainly could not have put men on the Moon - or anything in space in the first place. They might seem unlikely subjects for model kits, given that they didn't have the glamour of the rockets that launched astronauts or space probes to the planets. But in the late 1950s and well into the '60s, Revell released a number of "missile-related" kits including the WAC Corporal, the Nike Hercules and the Bomarc. Among them was the record-breaking 150 version of the Aerobee Hi research rocket.
