Sir, I recently discovered a US television series from 1959 entitled Men Into Space, which features work by Chesney Bonestell. There were 38 episodes filmed in black and white, each approximately 25 minutes long. The series is very obviously pre-Apollo but seems to have been reasonably scientifically accurate for its time and is, in fact, very charming. I believe it may be of interest to those BIS members who are unfamiliar with it and it would appear to still be available on DVD in the US. I have to admit that, around the same time, I discovered Walt Disney's Man in Space, Man and the Moon and Mars and Beyond, made in the mid-1950s. Until then I had been unaware of the productions.
