The International Space Station (ISS) Expedition 27 is drawing to a close with the imminent return to Earth of Russian commander Dmitry Kondratyev and flight engineers, American Catherine 'Cady' Coleman and Italian Paolo Nespoli. The other three crewmembers consist of Russian flight engineers Andrey Borisenko and Alexander Samokutyaev and American Ron Garan. The crew spent 15 April making further preparations for the forthcoming STS-134 EVAs. Kondratyev devoted nearly four hours to filling Progress 41 with unwanted material and with Nespoli, Garan and Coleman's assistance placed further unwanted equipment into the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Johannes Kepler. The recent arrivals of Borisenko, Samokutyaev and Garan continued familiarising themselves with their new orbital home.
