The saying "if not now when," first attributed to a Jewish scholar and used as a title by the Italian writer Primo Levi, might well be applied to the business world and its need for greener practices. Stef Kranendijk certainly thinks so. He is the CEO of Dutch carpet manufacturer Desso which has evolved a new, environmentally friendly mindset. In fact Kranendijk is now one of the most committed disciples of Cradle to Cradle, a concept whose primary argument says that we must change our attitude to the environment and to sustainability - and do it right now.
