摘要

Jiubao Bridge in Hangzhou has been built across the Qiantang River and has a length of 1855 m; it is the first large river crossing project in China using a completely composite structure. The main navigation and approach spans use the continuous hybrid arch-girder structure and steel-concrete continuous composite box girder, respectively; for both, the multi-point simultaneously incremental launching construction method has been used. Also, during the incremental launching construction, the 85 m approach span composite girder bridge was designed to have no temporary pier and only one temporary pier was considered for the 210 m main arch span. The design scheme of this bridge presents a new design philosophy, technology and creativity.
