There are some products that create a lot of stir within the industry. These days, one such item in chat rooms and forums that keeps people awake at night is the Nikon D1-the company's first fully designed and built digital SLR. Shown to a few folks early this year, the camera is now ready for a late September debut. Since its sneak preview there has been a lot of speculation about what it will do and how it will go up against the competition. Well, here's the deal as recently revealed by Nikon. We'll do a field test as soon as a real live camera is available.
