There is hardly an attractive city in Europe where the EU PVSEC conference has not yet been a guest. With London, Milan, Barcelona, Dresden, Lisbon and Florence, the list of venues is long. After all, EU PVSEC, whose agenda focuses on research and development, has been around since 1977. The organisers have stuck to their policy of staging the event in a different country every year. Or would it be more correct to say this used to be the case. Because they will be breaking with this tradition in the coming year. This year EU PVSEC will open their gates in Hamburg, while in 2016 they will move to Munich. The conference is planned to be staged there at the same place and in the same week as Intersolar Europe. The organisers aim to turn "the two premier showcases into the solar-industry's most important event worldwide". This suggests a permanent change. Will EU PVSEC have a permanent venue almost 40 years after it was founded? SUN & WIND ENERGY asked the organisers.
