摘要

This book provides a cogent analysis of northbound and southbound border crossings between the United States and Mexico. Stephen W. Bender, an immigration expert and law professor, takes aim at many Americans' deeply held misconceptions about cross-border immigration. His goal is to 'suggest a more comprehensive and pragmatic border policy than the one shaped only by restrictive immigration enforcement prerogatives' (pp. 1-2).
