摘要

Many computerised techniques exist that can be used at supporting decision processes in forestry. Due to location, size, structure, and tasks the forest management is one of the fields were decision process is complex and it plays a leading role in management. The present report report discusses management information systems from the point of view of potentials and purposefulenss of their use in managing of State Forests. At the same time it points out to the existence of nature and forest questions, that cannot be solved with known computerised techniques. To this end the report proposes selected methods of artificial intelligence as the most appropriate ones, being sometimes the only possible for supporting the management of selected forest economy questions.
