May beetles and their soil living developmental stages are since several years the cause of economic losses. On odd land, without nay agrochemical measures, they found very good conditions of development. Population outbreak of this pest compels forest service to undertake control measures. many methods can be used, but no one warrants satisfactory efficacy. The report presents the outcome of a pilot research carried out at the turn of August to September in a mixed culture with a considerable share of five-year-old pine on fresh-soil Broadleaved forest site.
