Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego(hereafter referred to as Owego)formalized implementation of Integrated Product and Process Development(IPPD)in 1994 with the issuance of a policy requiring use of concurrent engineering on every program over $5 million. Since that date, the organization has focused on improving and institutionalizing integrated Processes, integrated teams, and integrated tools. Beginning in June 2000, Owego initiated Its transition to CMM~R Integration~SM(CMMI~SM)using the CMMI~SM-SE/SW V1.0 model.
