Hermann Meyer, titulaire d'une maîtrise ès arts et d'un doctorat en économie, est le Directeur Général d'ERTICO - ITS Europe. Il est également Vice-Président du Forum «eSafety» et membre du comité de coordination du réseau des associations nationales STI. La ville de Lyon a été choisie pour accueillir la huitième édition des Congrès européens sur les Systèmes et Services de Transport Intelligents (STI). Lyon n'est pas seulement une ville de culture, de tourisme et de gastronomie, mais elle se situe également au premier plan en matière de transport. Avec plus de mille entreprises et quatre-vingt mille emplois liés au secteur des transports, et siège de nombreux constructeurs automobiles, Lyon est le deuxième centre économique français, et ambitionne de devenir une référence dans le domaine de la mobilité et du développement durable. J'ai le plaisir de vous inviter au huitième Congrès et Exposition européen sur les Systèmes et Services de Transports Intelligents, qui se déroulera à Lyon du 6 au 9 juin 2011, au centre de congrès La Cité Internationale.%Hermann MEYER,who holds a Master of Arts and a PhD in Economics, is the Chief Executive Officer of ERTICO - ITS Europe. He is also Vice-Chair of the eSafety Forum and a member of the Coordination Committee of the Network of National ITS Associations. Lyon has been chosen to host the 8~(th) in the series of European ITS Congresses. Not only is Lyon a city of culture, tourism and gastronomy, it is also at the forefront when it comes to transport. With over 1,000 firms and 80,000 jobs based around the transport industry, and home to major manufacturers in the automobile sector, Lyon is the second leading economic centre in France and aims to become a reference in the fields of mobility and sustainability. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Lyon for the 8~(th) European Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS), which will take place at the Cité Internationale Lyon Convention Center, on the 6-9 June 2011. The theme of the Congress is "Intelligent Mobility - ITS for sustainable transport of persons and goods in urban regions".
