摘要

The use of probabilistic methods to evaluate the structural and functional reliability of hospitals is a fundamental tool for structural and civil engineers. The methods are usually non-trivial. However, second moment approximate methods allow easier but equally powerfull calculations. In this paper the methods based on Yaylor expansion, point estimate method and Monte Carlo simulation are briefly presented. Three examples are included to illustrate the mentioned techniques.
