摘要

Outreach is a key ingredient for success in today's academic libraries, and as the title promises, this work offers a broad overview of effective models for building community through collaboration. This volume frames the chapters around key strategies for planning, designing and implementing outreach programs that are applicable to a wide variety of academic libraries. In addition to the well-crafted examples, chapters include thorough literature reviews that also support each chapter topic. This four-part volume includes chapters on "Strategic Vision and Planning," "Developing and Implementing Successful Programs," "Community Outreach," and "Broadening the Library Outreach Audiences."
