The eighth edition of mtex~+, entitled Fair& Convention for Hightech Textiles, is to be held in the new Carlowitz Congresscenter at the heart of Chemnitz in Germany on 9-10 June 2020 (see also, page 17 and page 31). The event will be more focused on technical textiles, particularly those used in the manufacture of composites, than it has been in the past. Major topics to be addressed at the event will include process development, textile engineering, digitalised value-chains and recycling. Workshops on effective and sustainable production, smart textiles, acoustic textiles, and a special exhibition on health and protective textiles, will also be held.
