Rieter Group has signed seven contracts worth a total CHF180 million with the Cotton &Textile Industries Holding Co, Cairo (Egypt). The contracts, part of efforts to modernize the Egyptian textile industry (see also, page 18), will see Rieter of Winterthur, Switzerland, deliver a number of compact-and ring-spinning systems over the next two years. The contracts were signed by the Chairman of Cotton & Textile Industries Holding Co, Ahmed Moustafa Mohamed, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rieter, Norbert Klapper, at ITMA in Barcelona, Spain, on 20-26 June 2019.
