Freudenberg &Vilene Nonwovens has put a new production line for car headliners into operation at its Suzhou site in China to meet increasing demand from customers across South-East Asia. The company - a joint venture between Freudenberg Performance Materials of Weinheim, Germany, and Japan Vilene Co of Tokyo, Japan - says that the new line will produce eight million square metres of headliners a year. Freudenberg & Vilene headliners can be finished in various ways to provide additional functionality.The company claims that they are lightweight, have an excellent surface appearance, good acoustic properties, and are resistant to abrasion and staining. Further, the company uses some recycled material in the manufacture of its products.
