摘要

A fully automated line able to produce up to 50 000 face masks a day has been launched by Autefa Solutions of Friedberg, Germany.The company says that the line, the first examples of which were put into operation in Germany and Switzerland (by Univent, of Villingen-Schwenningen, and Flawa, of Flawil, respectively) in May 2020, can produce masks that comply with European Union (EU) FFP2 and FFP3 standards and US N95 and N99 standards.Called HiPerMask, the line can comprise numerous individual units, including a material feed system, a nose-clip feed and positioning system, ultrasonic welding units, stations for the addition of ear loops or headbands, and systems for the labelling, folding, punching and dispensing of the masks into a collection container. The entire production process is monitored using an integrated quality-control system.The units can also be used individually to modernise and/or modify existing lines for the production of face masks.
