The 50th Man-made FibersrnCongress will take place on 14-16 September 2011 in Dornbirn, Austria, taking as its principal theme "The next 50 years".rnThe organizer, the Austrian Man-Made Fibers Institute, says the programme structure will be dedicated to future developments and encompass 100 lectures. More than usual, it will dedicate time to research topics that will shape the desired properties of man-made fibres in the decades to follow.rnWithin the sessions New Developments in Fibers, Functional Textiles, Sustainability, Fibers for Technical Textiles, Finishing and European Union (EU) Research Projects, the Institute says it willrninclude about 15 lectures from speakers renowned within industry and academia, so-called "visionaries", asking them to present their technology strategies for the coming 10 to 15 years.
