From I January 2012, Christian Pinkert Textilmaschinen of Chemnitz, Germany, is to take over the manufacture of machinery for making stitch-bonded nonwovens from Karl Mayer Malimo, also of Chemnitz. Under licence, Christian Pinkert will make the entire range of Malimo's stitch-bonders, which comprise the Malivlies, Maliwatt, Kunit and Multiknit brands. By modifying the stitch-bonding process, Karl Mayer says it has developed these machines over several decades to allow its customers to make nonwovens for virtually every kind of industrial application.
