JEC Composites has announced the winners of its Awards Programme 2010. Eleven companies and their partners will receive awards at the JEC Composites Show (13-15 April 2010 in Paris, France). Created in 1998, the Awards programme has the stated goal of promoting innovation. Each year, a jury of international experts chooses the best composite innovations, based on their technical interest, market potential, partnership, financial impact and originality. This year, the winners were selected from the following categories: Environment and Recycling; Bio-based Materials; Aeronautics; Building and Construction; Sports and Leisure; Transportation; Wind Energy; Raw Materials; Process; and Automation (two Awards were made in this category). Many of the winners include significant uses of textiles and these projects are described below.
