The 22nd Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Textile Chemists and Colourists (IFATCC) took place at the Palazzo Dei Congressi in Stresa, which overlooks Lake Maggiore in Lombardy, Italy, on 5-7 May. IFATCC holds its congress triennially and this year's organizer was the Associazone Italiana di ChemicaTessile e Coloristica (AICTC) of Milan, Italy. Some 500 delegates attended, with more than 300 from Italy and the remainder from 23 other (mainly European countries). While the scope of the meeting was broad, covering everything from textile chemistry to fashion, it contained a number of major themes of relevance to the technical textiles sector.
