Polymer Group Inc (PGI) has started construction and installation of a new spunmelt machine at its plant in Waynesboro, Virginia, USA. The capacity created is expected to be available to customers in the second half of 2011.rnThe project will create 41 highly skilled jobs at the Waynesboro site and represents an investment of more than $65 million. PGI says its decision to invest in this site was supported by incentives received from the Commonwealth of Virginia to promote economic development in the area.rnA joint venture between GE Capital and ING Capital LLC has provided the funding for the equipment, through a lease agreement.
