The USA's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved French company Arke-ma's Graphistrength multiwall carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for commercial sale.rnApproval allows the company's US subsidiary to assist customers currently conducting research and application tests involving CNTs with their commercial development on a larger scale. It should also boost worldwide sales of Arkema's Graphistrength masterbatches, already available in Europe and Asia.rnSince it first began producing CNTs in 2006, Arkema has sought to develop a wide range of high added-value master-batches under the Graphistrength trademark. They are designed to optimize the performance of CNTs in polymer matrices (thermoplastic, elastomer and thermoset).
