Uniforms for US Marines due to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2010 will be made using an improved version of the flame-resistant (FR) fabric Defender M, according to the textile's supplier, TenCate Protective Fabrics of Union City, Georgia, USA. Military Market Manager with TenCate, Nick Pence, claims that in developing this more durable version of Defender, the company did not have to compromise on the weight, comfort or FR properties. The US Marine Corp has now approved the new version of Defender M for its Flame Resistant Organizational Gear (FROG) uniform.
