Suppliers to the nonwovens industry are looking to capitalize on new initiatives in China that are aimed at boosting industrial activity. The forthcoming ANEX + SINCE show in Shanghai wil be an essential platform for securing business. Nonwovens production in China reached a record 1.347 Mt in 2008 according to the China Nonwovens Technical Association (CNTA)-an increase of 17.1 % compared with 2007. And, despite the turbulent global economic climate, the country's nonwovens industry is likely to be considerably boosted this year, following the Chinese Government's announcement of an infrastructure investment programme worth RMB4 trillion (about US$0.6 trillion).
