The Austrian Man-made Fibers Institute, organizer of the annual Dornbirn Congress, has revelaed the programme for this year's event, the 47th in the series, which will take place 17-19 September (see also, page 3, this issue). The first morning of plenary lectures includes the topics: 1. Resources, Availability and Changes in the Production of Electrical Energy; 2. Health, Safety and Environmental Aspects of Nanotechnology; 3. Market Developments for Fibres; 4. European Union (EU) Textile Industry-Vision for the Future; 5. The Contribution of Nonwovens to a Sustainable World;and 6. Fiber Requirements from Civil Engineering.
