The competition between aircraft makers Airbus and Boeing has intensified in recent years, which has been good news for suppliers of aircraft interior products. Lantal Textiles has been heavily involved in the interior design of new aircraft types, such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Geoff Fisher reports from the company's headquarters in Langenthal, Switzerland. With an increasing number of international travellers and limited airport capacity, there has long been a need for a very large, long-haul passenger aircraft with more than 500 seats. Many industry observers, however, suggest the market can support only one such plane.
