Held in Leeds, UK, the major themes of this year's annual Survival conference included the interaction between consumerism and sustainability, and the virtues of recycling. Ian Holme attended on behalf of Technical Textiles International. Survival, consumerism, sustainability and recycling were all topics considered by Nick Brown in a highly stimulating presentation made to the 29th annual Survival conference. Brown, who founded Nikwax, and Paramo Clothing, both of Wadhurst, UK, offered his personal views on these subjects to the delegates in Bodington Hall, University of Leeds.
