With floor space at the latest so-called "Textile Machinery Olympics" up by 50%, builders of advanced machinery for the production of staple fibre and filament nonwovens showed why the sector is growing at an impressive rate. As a fitting symbol of Germany's current power in textile machinery manufacturing, a total of 32 machines weighing a combined 3001 were exhibited by Germany's Dilo Group alone at ITMA 2007, which took place from 13-20 September 2007. Dilo's stand covered 2000 m~2 - one of the biggest at the event in Munich, Germany - and the machines on it were erected and co-missioned in just 24 days to show a wide range of fibres being turned into products on the complete HyperLine, Alpha Line and Fiberlofter ranges.
