Less than a year after ITMA2003 closed its doors, Swiss manufacturer Sultex held an open house for agents, customers and press (26-29 May) to unveil two major machinery developments: a new rapier loom - the Sulzer Textil G6500 - and a high-performance version of its projectile weaving machine - the Sulzer Textil P7300HP; although the company name has changed, see below, it retains the brand name Sulzer Textil for its machines. And these machinery developments were not the only changes revealed by the Rueti-based company as it adapts to life as part of the ITEMA Group: the company announced it has agreed to end its agreement with Toyota Industrial Corp with respect to air-jet looms and Chief Executive Officer Rolf Kehlhofer has left with effect from the end of June (see boxes, pages 33 and 34).
