An optimum degree of yarn cohesion is one of the e-conditions for trouble-free production and quality. Until now this was achieved by means of interlacing the filaments in the spinning process; before interlacing, the filaments wander and remain uncontrolled for a relatively long time; application of a pre-interlacing jet before drawing and the filaments were compacted stabilized the yarn path. Nevertheless, the interlacing knots also led to non-uniformities in the spin-finish take-up and in the drawing.
