At the Techtextil, the rolls manufacturer Richard Hough Ltd., Bolton/UK, showed a miniature version of the Simtex calender roll that offers a combination of high heat-resistance and elasticity at the nip - creating smooth and glossy surface finishes. It was demonstrated how the Simtex's formulation of synthetic fibers can cope with tough manufacturing conditions, while lasting 3 times longer than a typical roll made from composite materials according to the company.
