At the Techtextil, Zoltek Corp., Bridgeton, MO/USA, a Toray Group company, presented Zoltek OX, an oxidized polyacrylonitrile fiber which is inherent flame-resistant and does not burn, melt or drip. Zoltek Ox chars without shrinking, self-extinguishes and remains supple after flame exposure.
