As in 2013, Aquafil SpA, Arco/Italy, and Vorwerk Teppichwerke GmbH, Hameln/Ger-many, are again partners for the GreenTec Awards 2014. Europe's biggest environmental and economic prize will be awarded on May 4, 2014 in Berlin/Germany for the 7~(th) time. For 1,000 invited guests from all over the world the green carpet will be rolled out in the proven tradition. This consists of polyamide fibers obtained through the Econyl Regeneration System by Aquafil. In the last 4 years Aquafil has invested nearly €20 million in the research and development of Econyl Regeneration System. It is an innovative industrial recycling process for the production of PA 6 polymers. They can thus be obtained from either end trimmings of PA 6 including fishing nets, carpet fluff and textiles or primary waste created in the PA 6 production.
