Annual sales in 2013 for the manufacturer of medical and hygiene products Paul Hart-mann AG, Heidenheim/Germany, rose by 3.5% to € 1.79 billion (excluding exchange-rate and acquisition effects). The positive sales performance but also increased sales of higher margin products and further productivity improvement have contributed to the company's continued profitable growth. In the year under review, EBIT increased 12.5 % to € 102.1 million. In the 3 medical core segments (Wound Management, Incontinence Management and Infection Management), sales rose by 1.9% to € 1.51 billion, and made up 84.1 % of company sales.
