摘要

Japan's production of nonwoven fabrics in 2013 increased by 3.3% over the previous year to 331,494 tons, thus increasing for the third year in a row according to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. It was the first time since 2008 that production was over 330,000 tons. Production increased for all types of nonwovens except for needle-punched (-1.4%) and wet-laid (-3.7%). Spunlaid and melt-blown nonwovens increased by 9.8% to surpass 100,000 tons for the first time. Spunlace nonwovens also increased by 4.8% to nearly 40,000 tons.
