摘要

Fiber reinforced composites are increasingly used as substitutes for metallic materials because of their higher strength and stiffness. Due to their economic and ecological advantages, carbon fiber-based composites demonstrate their capability in the field of aerospace and automotive industry as well as in high-price sport and leisure sectors. To develop suitable matrices for high-performance composite materials, the wetting behavior of high-performance fibers has to be well-known. One technique utilized to determine contact angle and surface energy is the single fiber tensiometry.
