At the 16~(th) China International Man-Made Fiber Conference 2010 in Wujiang/PR China, the polyester industrial yarn producer Zhe-jiang Hailide New Material Co. Ltd., Haining City, Zhejiang, presented an overview of the development of the Chinese polyester industrial yarn market. Looking back to 2002, the output capacity of domestic PET industrial yarn was only 40,000-50,000 tons, after the rapid expansion of output capacity in 2005, by the end of 2005, total capacity of the domestic PET industrial yarn has exceeded 380,000 tons. By 2007, there were more than 46 PET industrial filament yarn manufacturers in China, with total capacity up to 467,800 tons, increased by 12% over 410,600 tons in 2006.
